General Return Policy
We accept returns for physical items within 14 days of delivery, provided the following conditions are met:
The item must be in original, unused condition.
The item must be returned in its original packaging.
A return authorization must be obtained prior to returning the item. Please contact us at info@codedtocanvas.com to initiate a return.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for:
Items that have been used, damaged, or altered by the customer.
Custom or personalized items (e.g., engraved/inlayed cutting boards or items involving custom artwork).
Digital downloads or digital art (all sales of digital products are final).
Services such as Custom Logo/art creation
Custom or Personalized Products
Custom and personalized items are final sale unless:
There is a manufacturing defect.
The product arrives damaged due to shipping.
An exception is approved on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
If you believe your custom product was damaged or defective, please contact us at info@codedtocanvas.com within 7 days of delivery and provide:
Your order number.
Clear photos of the item showing the issue.
**Note: Many of our products are handmade, unique items crafted from natural materials, which may naturally have minor blemishes or imperfections. We may determine that certain minor imperfections in the material are not defects. Additionally, handmade products may exhibit small inconsistencies inherent to the crafting process. While we always strive to correct any issues that significantly impact the product's quality or customer satisfaction, we reserve the right to determine that some minor imperfections in craftsmanship are negligible and a natural part of the handmade process.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective:
Contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Provide photos of the damaged item and packaging.
Once reviewed AND APPROVED, we will either:
Issue a replacement at no additional cost.
Provide a full or partial refund, depending on the situation/review of the returned item.
Return/Restocking Fee
Returns for non-defective, unused items are subject to a 15% restocking fee, which will be deducted from the refund. This fee does not apply to items returned due to damage or defects.
Return Process
Contact Us: Email us at info@codedtocanvas.com with your order number, photos (if applicable), and reason for the return.
Return Authorization: If your return is approved, we will provide instructions on where to send the item. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is damaged or defective.
Inspection and Refund: Once the returned item is received and inspected:
If the item is in original condition, we will issue a refund to your original payment method within 5-7 business days, minus any applicable restocking fee.
If the item is damaged due to improper care or use, we may decline the refund or issue a partial refund at our discretion.
Non-Refundable Items
Used or Damaged Items: Returns for items showing signs of use, wear, or damage caused by improper care will not be accepted.
Digital Products: All digital downloads and digital art are non-refundable.
Custom Products: Custom or personalized items are non-refundable unless defective or approved under special circumstances.
Care Guide for Cutting Boards
To ensure the longevity of your cutting board, please follow these care instructions:
Avoid soaking or submerging in water.
Do not place in the dishwasher.
Condition the board regularly with food-safe oil.
Avoid exposure to extreme heat or prolonged moisture.
Returns will not be accepted for cutting boards damaged due to improper care.
